The Element5 840 CHNSO Elemental Analyser is a high-quality organic elemental analyser produced by YUKE with the technology of NCT (former Costech) from Italy, combined with Dumas' “flash combustion” technology and chromatographic separation method, which can measure the elements of Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Sulphur by oxidation process, or Oxygen by reduction process. The Element5 800 series is an upgrade and expansion of the 600 series with additional automation features, i.e. automated system leak detection, automated flow rate setting, intelligent oxygen dosing, etc. As with the 600 series, the Element5 800 series is an upgrade and expansion of the 600 series with automated system leak detection, automated flow rate setting, and intelligent oxygen dosing. Like the 600 series, the Element5 800 series elemental analysers are available in single and dual furnace designs to differentiate whether the oxidation and reduction processes are carried out in a single furnace or between dual furnaces; different diameters of oxidation and reduction tubes are available to meet the needs of different types of tests (e.g. solids and liquids) and samples of varying carbon content (from micrograms to grams) and different oxygen dosages are configured to correspond to different samples being measured in order to save on consumables; and manual oxygen rationing is available. The Element5 840 CHNSO can be used with either a manual injector or an autosampler to meet the needs of different injection operations and sample quantities. The innovative design of the TCD detector is self-calibrating, eliminating the need for reference gases and optimising the user experience for the customer.
